QEEG, PBM and Neurofeedback: A Three-Day Workshop
With Santiago Brand and Dr. Dave Kim
29 - 31 May 2025 – Kingscliff, NSW
Dr Kim DaeKeun (Dave) was the principal investigator for the development of the automatic QEEG analysis for early prediction and diagnosis of cognitive dysfunction and dementia using artificial intelligence, a project in conjunction with the Ministry of Science and ICT South Korea. An Electrical Engineer with a PhD in Emotion Engineering, Dr Kim is the Director of the Corporate Research Institute at iMediSync Inc. in South Korea.
Santiago Brand is clinical and sport psychologist, instructor and trainer who has lectured in over 25 countries in the fields of neurofeedback, biofeedback brain mapping and neuroinflammation. Santiago is also a scientific advisor for iMediSync, and co-authored the book “The Power of Brainspotting: An International Anthology, where he wrote about trauma and the EEG. He has been interviewed in multiple international media outlets including CNN.
Join us for a unique opportunity to learn from world-renowned experts in the field of neuroscience.
In this 3-part comprehensive workshop, we will explore QEEG assessments and neurotherapy delivery.
Part I - Measurement: QEEG & HRV
Learn to measure QEEG for research on your clients/patient resulting in a quality signal using dry electrodes and standardised QEEG interpretation.
Upload the data for AI interpretation and comparison to the only gender- and age-related normative QEEG database in existence.
Receive a comprehensive report with AI denoising within 10 minutes, including brain images highlighting areas of concern.
Measure heart-rate variability, stress index, Mild Cognitive Impairment indicators, depression, and anxiety levels.
Dive deeper into analysis via portals for research and pre/post measures.
Part II – Therapy: Photobiomodulation (PBM)
Learn how the mechanisms of action underlying PBM involve intricate interplays of photochemical and photophysical processes at the cellular and molecular levels.
Overview of PBM parameters, such as wavelength, power density, treatment duration, and pulse characteristics.
Select PBM protocols tailored to target neurological tissues and address various pathologies.
Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG) and its role in PBM.
Case studies of different psychological conditions with pre/post measures.
Part III – Therapy: Neurofeedback
Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG) and its role in Neurofeedback.
Integrating iSyncMe and the Neurofeedback software.
Overview of Neurofeedback parameters and protocols, such as Alpha training, Frontal stabilization, Deep relaxation, and Sensorimotor Rhythm (SMR) training.
Brand-new feature, introduced in December 2024.
